The High School Question:
Leo Tolstoy said: "Freethinkers are those who are willing to use their minds without prejudice and without fearing to understand things that clash with their own customs, privileges, or beliefs. This state of mind is not common, but it is essential for right thinking."
Write an essay explaining in detail what Tolstoy's statement means to you, and how you and other young people can work to eliminate prejudice. Use personal experiences or examples from books, film or TV to support your essay.
Entries must not exceed 1000 words, must be typed, must be clearly organized, and must answer all parts of the question.
